Marc Fassbender is a consulting geoscientist with a Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa. He possesses expert knowledge of the host rocks associated with actively forming Volcanogenic Massive Sulfide (VMS) deposits on the modern seafloor and their ancient analogues, utilizing petrology, geochemistry, and machine learning techniques. He has extensive experience in economic geology, geochemistry, and the application of machine learning in geoscience. Marc specializes in integrating datasets through machine learning to address complex geoscientific challenges.
Alan Baxter is a multidisciplinary geologist whose expertise is in convergent margin systems. He has managed projects that reconstructed ancient oceans in collision zones such as the Himalayas and Eastern Australia and on mineral exploration projects in Western Australia and the US. His current research is on the tectonic and metallogenic evolution of arc-back-arc systems in the SW Pacific. He holds a Research Associate position at the University of Ottawa with the CFREF Metal Earth Project. He was previously a Lecturer at the University of New England, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Sydney (NSW), in Australia.
Taha Rouabah is an Associate Professor of Physics at University of Constantine 1 in Algeria. Dr. Rouabah was awarded both an Erasmus-Averroes PhD fellowship and a prestigious African Research Initiative for Scientific Excellence early career research grant. He was recently selected for a US National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Arab-American Frontiers Fellowship. As Principal Investigator of Constantine Quantum Technologies research group, Dr. Rouabah leads a talented team of young physicists and computer scientists. Their research efforts are currently concentrated on cutting-edge areas within the field of quantum computing, including topological quantum computing, quantum programming, quantum algorithms, quantum machine learning, and quantum simulation.
